Pen Bay Healthcare was in need of a hospice facility on their campus in Rockport. The newly constructed Sussman House is a 9,740 square foot facility offering 24-hour care for patients. Each of the house’s seven suites feature a private bath, a living area to accommodate family, and a walk-out patio. Wright-Ryan also managed the site work to provide the property with extensive gardens featuring orchards, rock walls, a birch grove, and sitting areas. Sussman House includes administrative offices, a conference room, a staff room, storage, and maintenance rooms. The facility also offers a community living room, dining area, library and kitchen that share a stone fireplace. In addition, a glassed-in play room allows children to be in sight while keeping noise levels down.
