PowerPay, LEED Gold

PowerPay, one of the leading providers of credit card payment services, set its sights on transforming the former Portland Public Market, with its multiple levels, sloping floors, and rustic timber frame, into a modern office building that would meet the needs of its rapidly growing enterprise. Wright-Ryan was selected to perform the renovation and ensure all LEED Gold requirements were met. Water usage has been reduced through the use of low-flow fixtures, lighting power has decreased by 25% through high-efficiency fixtures and occupancy sensors, and the mechanical systems have re-purposed the existing heating plant, giving new life to a cultural Portland landmark. This, coupled with extensive zoning, provides a substantial amount of individual client comfort, resulting in increased employee efficiency.
Wright-Ryan’s Millwork Division surrounded an original stone fireplace with custom woodwork to add a warm feel to a busy corporate space. They carried the warm woodworking up the stairwell to the second story offices and incorporated interesting angles to give the space a sense of creativity.
