Bowdoin College Park Row Student Apartments
Location: Brunswick, ME
Architect: Lavallee Brensinger Architects
Bowdoin College’s Park Row Apartments are four (4) steel and wood structures that are Passive House Certified. Constructed on a tight urban college campus, the four buildings currently house 88 of Bowdoin’s students in comfortable shared apartments. Each apartment has a living room, full kitchen, study area, and single bedrooms for each student. The project was completed on an extremely aggressive 10 month schedule to ensure students could move in ahead of the fall semester start. Wright-Ryan self-performed many aspects of the work including, but not limited to, foundations, rough and finished carpentry.
