Village Centre Apartments is home to 48 units of workforce housing and at 54,886 square feet is one of the largest passive house developments in North America. The project was designed and built to passive house standards while keeping the critical importance of cost control in balance to meet the standards of an affordable housing development in Maine. The sustainable design promotes energy efficiency, lowering operating costs, and residents benefit from features like abundant natural light, thermal comfort, and indoor air quality.

Village Centre also includes a community playground, garden space, a central laundry facility, community space and bicycle storage. It is centrally located in the City of Brewer near shopping areas, professional services, medical services, and employment opportunities.
