Sanford Police Station
Location: Sanford, ME

The new police station was a critical part of the revitalization of downtown Sanford and was very important to the community. The Town of Sanford wanted to use this publicly funded project as a “mini-stimulus” package for the community’s skilled tradespeople and suppliers. Therefore Wright-Ryan published advertisements and actively sought local participation. Upon completion, more than 70% of the construction funds were circulated back into the local community. The 24,000 square foot building features geothermal wells for heating and cooling, holding cells, sally port, and a fitness area with locker rooms.
